Bernkopf Goodman LLP is looking for a skilled litigation paralegal to be a part of our litigation team working out of our Boston office. The paralegal will be responsible for the coordination of all details before, during and after trial.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:E-Discovery:Coordinate the forensic collection and processing of client data with outside vendor(s). Occasionally assist clients with small-scale self-collection efforts.Prepare search criteria for client documents, analyze search result reports, and adjust criteria as appropriate.Manage E-Discovery vendor spaces and communicate with vendors to coordinate productions and document reviews.Discovery and Document Production:Review documents for responsiveness and privilege in preparation for production.Index, catalog, and organize document productions from opposing parties, client document intake and productions, and other discovery materials.Organize and de-duplicate non-ESI client documents for attorney review or coordinate with E-Discovery vendors when appropriate to oversee de-duplication.Coordinate processing of documents selected for production and assist in preparation of same. Includes redacting, Bates labeling, and preparing digital/hard copies of same.Prepare and draft subpoenas and accompanying schedules when appropriate, and notices of deposition.Track all subpoenas duces tecum to ensure responsive documents are produced.Draft privilege logs.Depositions:Review files and utilize E-discovery tools to find relevant documents to assist in attorney preparation and for potential use as exhibits.Assemble and organize exhibits to be used at depositions.Prepare (or coordinate with outside vendor to prepare) deposition summaries.Trial:Prepare and track all exhibits.Coordinate with experts and witnesses.Other Tasks:Perform various research tasks based on attorney need and direction.Skills/Experience:2 - 4 years of experience as a paralegal.BS/BA from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred and paralegal certificate preferred.Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.Exercise good judgment and follow through on assigned tasks.Proficient in Relativity or other E-discovery management tools and software, including knowledge of court rules re: same.Proficient in PDF editing software.Strong communication skills to engage with clients, attorneys and vendors.Highly organized and able to manage voluminous and complex case load.Creative problem solving.Certified Notary Public a plus.We believe a great law firm is comprised of great people.
