NoDuties and Responsibilities
A member of the Employer Operations & Communication team of Career Services, reporting to the Associate Director of Employer Operations & Communication, this position supports several significant events (career fairs, career tours, etc) per semester: planning, marketing, venue set up/break down, program creation, invoicing, hosting, catering, staffing, answering questions, etc. There are also marketing and social media responsibilities as well as some data analysis as part of Career Services overall student engagement efforts.Supports Career Services marketing, communication, and branding efforts to students, employers, alumni, faculty, and staff through available technologies such as Handshake and social media (Instagram, YouTube).Works collaboratively with College/School-based internship staff on their respective School/College-based career events.Supports the team with management of on-campus recruiting (info session and on-campus interviewing).Manages evaluation and assessment process: creates/updates survey instruments, compiles data and initials analyses, and applies results to future career fairs.Manages logistical communication and support for career fairs and the on-campus recruiting program, including room reservations, catering, day-of event management, etc.Researches vendors for event-related purchases and makes financial recommendations on contracts and event-related purchases (catering, programs, venue fees, etc.)Assists with management of T4/website updates.Assists with other career events and programs.Some budget responsibilities and career fair fee management.Performs related duties as required.Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-2 years of event and/or housing (hotel, hospitality industry) experience.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.One to two years of marketing and event planning experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.Ability to multitask.Demonstrated ability to cultivate professional relationships.Ability to navigate within diverse environments and among a variety of stakeholders.Computer Skills
Demonstrated ability with digital/social media, video content creation (highlight reels), marketing materials creation using Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Terminal 4 (not required).Working Conditions
