Oversee and coordinate logistics for all major Career Development Center events, both physical and virtual, including career fairs, networking events, panels, and mixers.Develop calendar of events and manage implementation by collaborating with campus partners and external colleagues to assure optimal scheduling.Select vendors to find the best fit for events, and manage the event budget.Streamline communication with vendors and visitors to campus, including several hundred employers annually, to ensure they experience USD's culture of care.Responsible for all event logistics including: event registration, invitations, room reservations, audiovisual equipment, parking, catering, and marketing.Evaluate program and event success, and utilize data to continuously innovate and make improvements to future events.Marketing, Communication and Digital Media:
Plan marketing strategies and uphold branding guidelines to effectively communicate Career Development Center initiatives with students, employers, and campus partners.Utilize project management systems to manage workflow for collateral and marketing requests from team members.Design and create marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, and other printed and online pieces to promote the department.Maintain the MyPostings event page, as well as the google 'events' calendar used internally.Manage the Career Development Center Social Media accounts, including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.Create and distribute weekly newsletters to students and targeted email marketing to specific groups that relate upcoming events and services.Collaborate with university marketing partners to ensure consistent campus messaging around career initiatives.Ensure Career Development Center activities are archived through photographs and video clips.Capture video interviews of current students, recent alums, recruiters, and internship supervisors to share the story of our center through digital media.Publicize these pieces through social media, newsletters, and share with University Marketing for external storytelling.Work with campus partners, distribute marketing material that supports their work and promotes the work of the Career Development Center in their areas.Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Communications and Assessment, track purchases and spending, evaluating spending requests as they pertain to events and marketing.Supervision and General Administrative Support:
Hire, train, supervise, and schedule 2-3 undergraduate events/marketing interns.Meet regularly with team of interns, provide reviews and evaluations, and guide them on ongoing projects that support the creation of marketing material, social media updates, and video editing.Provide back-up to front office staff.Assist with administrative duties including greeting students, recruiters, answering the phone.Special Conditions of Employment:Background check:

Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.Job Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.
