Associate Attorney - Construction Defect
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our law firm based in Orange County, California. This role focuses on handling complex construction defect litigation matters, offering a stimulating mix of tasks from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will enjoy significant client interaction and the autonomy to manage cases with minimal supervision. Our firm combines the resources of a large organization with the soul of a smaller, entrepreneurial entity, fostering a collaborative and collegial atmosphere.
Compensation:
$100,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage construction defect litigation cases from inception through trial.
Handle all phases of discovery, conduct site inspections, and engage in thorough issue analysis.
Lead depositions, mediate settlement negotiations, and effectively represent clients during trials.
Retain and collaborate closely with expert witnesses for expert discovery processes.
Independently manage court appearances, depositions, and hearings, ensuring client interests are advocated effectively.
Collaborate with a team of attorneys to strategize and achieve client and firm goals effectively.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction defect litigation.
At least 2 years of robust litigation experience.
Strong independent case handling capabilities in a litigation setting.
Admission to the California Bar is essential.
Demonstrated excellence in communication and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a major law firm or specialized boutique firm environment.
Proven track record of positive client outcomes in construction defect cases.
Experience with innovative litigation techniques and a modern approach to legal challenges.
Strong proficiency in legal research and the use of technology in litigation.
Interest and capability in contributing to the growth and development of our legal team.
