- $4,495 per month (SR-18, Step D)Land Agent III
- $4,858 to $5,918 per month (SR-20, Step D to I)Land Agent IV
- $5,258 to $6,399 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.Duties are performed in support of the Board of Land and Natural Resources' intent to meet the approved social and economic demands of both the public and private sectors of the State of Hawaii.Level II
serves in an advanced trainee capacity, receiving formal and on-the-job training; assists in the preparation of routine transactions, in making inspections of lands and in enforcement of terms, conditions, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to the administration and management of State and public lands; and performs other duties as required.Level III
independently performs selected assignments in transaction preparation of land acquisitions and dispositions, and routine land inspection and enforcement activities; and performs other duties as required.Level IV
performs the full range of work in the acquisition and disposition of all public lands of the State including complex and difficult assignments; conducts land management activities; and performs other duties as required.To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:Legal Authorization to Work:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.Basic Education:
Graduation from an accredited (4) four year college or university with a bachelor's degree.Specialized Experience:
Six (6) months for Level II, one and one-half (1-1/2) years for Level III, and for Level IV, two and one-half (2-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrated knowledge of Hawaii Land laws, real estate laws and terminology, the real property appraisal process, various types of land titles and legal instruments affecting land transactions; and the ability to gather and analyze land transaction data; prepare reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations, and meet and deal effectively with others.For the Land Agent IV, at least one (1) year of the required experience must have been comparable to the Land Agent III in State service.Substitutions Allowed:
