Overview:
As the
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
at
The Wigwam,
you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and brand recognition. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize profitability, increase market share, and enhance customer satisfaction. This is a senior leadership position that requires a combination of strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the hotel industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goals and drive business growth across the entire project.
Oversee the sales and marketing teams across the multiple villages of the property, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives and financial targets.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities and recommend strategic initiatives.
Assist in establishing and defining brand standards to convey the identity of the project consistently and cohesively.
Train and develop key sales and marketing roles to ensure the project operates efficiently and meets defined targets.
Drive brand positioning and awareness through effective marketing campaigns, advertising, public relations, and digital marketing efforts.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and industry influencers.
Function as the communications representative for all sales and marketing efforts between the operations team, the management company, and the asset management/ownership entity.
Collaborate with revenue management, operations, and other departments to optimize pricing, packages, and promotions to maximize revenue and occupancy.
Design and execute strategic media planning and budgets for the project and all applicable revenue producing outlets.
Monitor sales performance and financial metrics, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the sales and marketing strategies.
Up to 5% travel required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the hotel industry, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating a diverse team of sales and marketing professionals.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
In-depth knowledge of the hotel industry, including market dynamics, customer segments, distribution channels, and revenue management principles.
Proficiency in analyzing sales data, financial reports, and market research to drive informed decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, social media strategies, and online distribution channels.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $175,000.00/Yr. - $190,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
