Location Description

The Sandman is an ideal launch pad for exploring Sonoma Wine Country. Overview

The Sales Manager at Sandman plays a critical role in driving revenue and building the hotel's market presence. Working closely with the General Manager while working with the sales team at sister property, this role focuses on developing and executing sales strategies to maximize room bookings, group, and other hotel services. The Sales Manager is also responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the overall goals of the hotel.Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to increase room bookings, group bookings, and other hotel services.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key market segments, including corporate clients, and business travel.Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies and stay competitive.Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, contributing to the hotel's overall revenue goals.Conduct sales presentations, site tours, and negotiations to secure new business.Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and sales materials.Participate in local networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to increase the hotel's visibility and attract new clients.Provide regular sales reports and updates to the General Manager, including progress toward targets and insights on market trends.Assist the General Manager in developing strategic plans for revenue growth and market expansion.Work closely with the General Manager to ensure alignment between sales initiatives and overall hotel operations.Support the General Manager in identifying opportunities for improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency through sales-driven insights.Represent the General Manager in meetings or events as needed, ensuring that the hotel's sales objectives are communicated effectively.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction throughout the sales process.Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.Coordinate with other departments, such as front office, food & beverage, and housekeeping, to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).3+ years of experience in hotel sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and local market dynamics.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Delphi) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $75,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
