We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support one of our premier programs in the business unit, where your knowledge of tactical vehicles, Electro Optical Infrared Systems, system integration and most importantly production startup will keep you challenged. This position is an on-site role at our McKinney, TX facility.
What You Will Do
Ensure new missions seamlessly integrate with existing program technical baseline
Develop and maintain improvement roadmaps
Work with program leadership to ensure effective risk mitigation, testing, and opportunity capture
Work with factory and operations personnel to ensure quality manufacturing processes
Work with suppliers to establish component requirements and verification efforts
Use systems thinking to contribute to program execution, staffing and technical reporting
Requirements management and tracking to support program deliverables
Support and attend technical inspection reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program as the systems architect
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years OR an advanced degree with eight (8) years and the experience below:
Architecture governance and System Engineering design principles
Ground and mobile EOIR systems with an understanding of vehicle integration
System architecture in systems that interact with external entities
Qualifications We Prefer
Ability to decompose and communicate system architecture and governance concepts as well as experience working projects, and/or programs consisting of Ground-related SE, SW development, and IV&V functions
Work complex situations, gather relevant data, identify root causes, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
Collaborate with key stakeholders and individual contributors across the organization
Experience with different Architecture Frameworks
DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment
Work in and/or with multiple Engineering Disciplines (Software, Database, Infrastructure, Security, Systems, and/or Test)

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
