Full-time, ExemptPosition Summary:The VP Finance, North America will provide finance and business support across North America. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to maintain and support global financial requirements. The position reports directly to the CFO but will work closely in a business partner capacity with the VP & GM, North America. The position also forms part of the North American Senior Management Team (SMT), leading the strategic direction of the North American operations.The position requires an experienced finance professional, who can provide strong leadership to a finance team located in Atlanta that is responsible for North American accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and analysis. This role will also be part of a global team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the monthly close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate at both regional and global level.Key Responsibilities:Prepare the annual budget, rolling forecasts as well as the long-term plan for North America business unit.Manage the accuracy and productivity of financial operations, including cash flows and reporting, invoicing/billing and customer credits and collections.Preparation of monthly financial statements and related management reports and variance analysis.Preparation of monthly operating review package incorporating actual and budget results.Review the monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.Assist in the annual audit process.Enhance the monthly financial data to provide a higher level of analytical analysis on revenue and cost trends and variances.Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances, as well as tracking capital expenditure monthly against budget.Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.Provide financial and commercial information to the VP & GM North America and CFO to assist in assessing the viability of project initiatives.Work with sales management to prep and review financial details associated with sales opportunities across the region; Implement and maintain global deal pricing model.Manage a team of accounting and finance professionals, located in Atlanta.Qualifications/Experience:Undergraduate or Master’s degree, with an emphasis in accounting and finance.5+ years of senior finance leadership experience is essential.Working experience using NetSuite preferred along with excellent MS Office skills.Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting rules.Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.Preferable industry sector and commercial management experience and knowledge (e.g. telecoms, digital media, broadcast).Exceptional work ethic.Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
