The VP of Finance & Treasury (North America) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations across the United States and Canada. This position will lead finance functions, including accounting, financial planning, treasury, cash management, and risk management. The VP of Finance & Treasury will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting the company’s continued growth and profitability across North America.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Lead all financial operations across North America, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, liquidity, debt financing, and investment strategies. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adhering to GAAP/IFRS and internal policies. Oversee consolidation of financial statements across US and Canada.Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Provide actionable insights to senior leadership based on financial analysis.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.Risk Management: Manage currency risk, interest rate exposure, and other financial risks across North America. Implement effective hedging strategies where necessary.M&A and Strategic Initiatives: Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition performance management.Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team across the US and Canada. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO, FP&A, IT, and other key departments to drive strategic initiatives, including ERP implementation and process optimization.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.Experience: 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-country operations.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, GAAP/IFRS, and internal controls.Expertise in cash management, debt financing, and currency risk management.Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.This job is considered safety-sensitive because impairment by drugs or alcohol may constitute a threat to health or safety, and/or a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.
