Reconciliation Analyst

The Reconciliation team enables the Mercury system by ensuring end-to-end tracking of transactions through partner banks, protecting customer funds through timely, rigorous, and efficient reconciliation.We’re looking to hire a Reconciliation Analyst who will investigate edge cases in our reconciliation process, identify underlying process breaks, manually resolve issues, and provide feedback to our internal partner teams to systematically fix these issues as they occur. You will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners to thoroughly ledger, reconcile, and investigate edge cases in the underlying money movements that power Mercury’s suite of financial products.You will:Reconcile customer transactions across a variety of payment rails and account typesDevelop strong analytical skills and utilize data to make strategic long-term decisions regarding our reconciliation policiesNavigate partner asks and quickly communicate those to internal stakeholdersPartake in cross-functional efforts across Eng, Product, and Data Science to scale our processesFeel confident when using data and intuition to make decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, while demonstrating curiosity and a growth mindsetYou have:3+ years of experience interacting with complex financial data, preferably in a financial technology or financial services companyFamiliarity with SQL, and an interest in growing your technical skillsEnthusiasm in learning about companies with complex, technical productsAbility to interpret data to drive decision-makingComfort collaborating with both technical and non-technical partners to solve cross-functional challengesDesire to drive rigorous, auditable processes to completion through partnership with internal and external stakeholdersThe total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
