POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Director, Senior Director, or Vice President of Business Development to lead our strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in forming strategic partnerships, licensing technologies, and driving OEM supply agreements. This role will be pivotal in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth through key partnerships and licensing opportunities. The position offers a remote working arrangement preferably based in the greater Boston area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives.
Licensing Agreements:
Drive licensing negotiations for the C-Free Pluto wash technology with automation companies, emphasizing the benefits of gentle washing of cells and particles.
Partnership Development:
Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with companies whose products would benefit from joint marketing and sales efforts with Pluto and Venus products.
OEM Supply Agreements:
Secure and manage OEM supply agreements to provide C-Free products to third-party companies, expanding the reach of C-Free products.
Market Analysis:
Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align business development efforts with company objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Budget Management:
Oversee the business development budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired outcomes.
Team Leadership:
Build and mentor a high-performing business development team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, PhD) is preferred.
Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the life sciences, biotechnology, or automation instruments industry.
Demonstrated success in licensing technologies, forming strategic partnerships, and securing OEM supply agreements.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and motivating high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of cell biology, cell analysis, and laboratory workflows is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic environment.
