Work within a team on research problems that are important for Gemini and Google Translate.
Research novel techniques for improving translation quality and multilingual capabilities in Large Language Models (LLMs).
Design and conduct experiments for model quality improvements, analyze results, and determine steps for moving forward.
Invent reliable automatic and human evaluation methods for evaluating machine translation and multilingual performance of LLMs, then integrate findings into the models.
Maintain a strong connection with the Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing (NLP) community.
