Director of Finance -Insero Talent Solutions is currently recruiting for a Director of Finance (Direct Hire) position for a nonprofit organization in the Rochester, NY area.Summary:
The Director of Finance will lead the production of general accounting, and financial information by establishing processes and procedures and leading an accounting staff.Job Duties:Manage the general ledger and reviewing journal entries for accuracyOversee fixed assets and assets and liability accountingCoordinate with outside firms for year-end audit preparationOversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable activitiesManage cash flow and reporting activities; financial statements, variance analysis, grant reportingProvide support with annual budgeting and forecastingMonitor internal controls and identify/implement improvements as necessaryHandle required reporting for 1099s, 990 and 5500 tax returnsReview of weekly payroll runsSupervise and mentor accounting teamRequirements:7+ years of prior accounting experience is required with proven supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required, MBA and/or CPA preferred. Candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to manage time/prioritize to meet deadlines. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and have experience using a complex ERP system.
