Senior Accountant - Tax and Bookkeeping

Compensation:
$80K-$140K, DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals and various business entities including corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries, and estates.
Conducting thorough bookkeeping for multiple client accounts.
Maintaining ongoing communication with clients to manage their financial data effectively and build strong relationships.
Liaising with federal and state tax authorities to address any client tax issues and ensure compliance.
Handling complex tax-related queries from clients and providing strategic solutions.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in tax return preparation.
Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
Experience with Lacerte or similar tax software.
Strong communication skills with comfortability in client interactions.
Previous experience in a CPA firm.
Knowledge of tax regulations and requirements with the ability to manage multi-state tax returns.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling international tax forms such as Forms 3520, 3528, 3520-A, 5471.
Familiarity or direct experience with clients in the real estate and entertainment industries.
Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work and multiple projects.
Exposure to financial consulting and strategic planning for clients.
Advanced certification such as CPA is highly advantageous.
Skills:
Detailed knowledge and understanding of tax codes and regulations.
Advanced proficiency in accounting and financial software tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong ethical judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
