Additionally, we’re backed by some of the most revered investors in the consumer goods space.We’re a lean team that’s expanding quickly, and we’re looking for someone who believes in our vision to shift the way people experience scents.The Role:As Snif continues to scale, financial rigor and analysis will be key to our success and overall health. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for high-level efforts like demand and financial planning, accounting, KPI metrics and reporting, investor relations, and supporting our Board of Directors. Additionally, you will own the day-to-day financial operations, such as budgeting, inventory tracking, budget management, accounting, insurance, and more.To be super clear, you need to be able to operate in both an Excel model and also have the presence and insights to sit in the Board room.This individual is highly analytical, detail-oriented, communicative, and motivated to make the business as efficient as possible. They hold the unique ability to balance strategic vision with sound financial leadership to ensure sustainable and impactful growth.This role will report directly to the CEOs / Co-Founders. They will also work cross-functionally across all departments to inform on crucial financial decisions.While we are based in New York City, we operate as a fully remote team.What You'll Do:
Demand PlanningLead the forecasting process for our DTC and wholesale business on individual SKU and product category levelsPartner with our Operations team to execute on demand plan and approve POsProactively identify opportunities to improve on cost and efficiency without sacrificing on our Snif quality standardsFinancial Planning and AnalysisCreate and oversee our annual operating budgetOwn P&L including gross-to-net revenue and margin profilesLong term cash flow forecasting on a quarter by quarter basisShort term cash flow forecasting on a weekly basisControllership and AccountingManage and partner with our accounting team and function to perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closingMaintaining profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements on a monthly basisInventory Management and Working Capital ManagementTrack/calculate monthly cost of goods sold, scrap costs and other inventory specific costsTrack/calculate inventory on hand balances and identify slow moving SKUsBi-weekly projection of working capital usage and potential adjustments needed to credit facilityWeekly purchase order forecasting and invoice trackingKPI and MetricsOwn and lead our bi-weekly Metrics company-wide meetingsReport on overall DTC and Wholesale revenue (actuals vs plan)Financing/Debt oversightReview credit terms on a quarterly basis to ensure leverage and terms meet the needs of companyInvestor Relations and Board of DirectorsNetworking and securing new investor relationshipsSupport future investment rounds, negotiations, and due diligenceLead quarterly BOD meetings and facilitate material creationCompile financial statements - P&L, Budget vs Actuals, etc.InsuranceManagement of existing insurance policies on an annual basis, including the review of annual premiums and covered eventsManagement of the company’s employee benefits and annual renewalsWhat You'll Bring:
