Job Description - RN Executive Director, Perioperative Services (240002JF)DescriptionPlans, implements, directs and evaluates patient care activities for perioperative services at Children's National Medical Center in accordance with accepted national standards and administrative and patient care policies.QualificationsMinimum Education:Master's Degree (Required)
Minimum Work Experience:5 years (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge:Excellent communication and human relations skills.Advanced computer skills/familiarity with business software.General office equipment skills.
Required Licenses and Certifications:Registered Nurse in District of Columbia (Required)Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (BLS for Providers) (Required)Functional AccountabilitiesGrow:Look across departments for opportunities to make the organization more effective.Recognize and share innovation and improvement.Represent the department in organization-wide innovation and improvement efforts.Monitor and grow the department’s capacity for change.Enhances Department by Improving Clinical Outcomes:Identifies trends, implements improvements and monitors outcomes as it relates to improving quality and safety for patients and their families.Develops, implements and evaluates clinical programs to enhance services of the department or service to increase consumer satisfaction.Participates in Fiscal Planning:Prepares the department/service budget in keeping with CNMC mission and vision and implements based on department/service goals and objectives.Evaluates financial performance reports, develops financial plans accordingly with the department/service managers and supervisors and assists the manager/supervisors in execution of the financial plan.Monitors changes and trends in health care delivery services and analyzes impact on the department/service financial outcomes.
