The ideal candidate has completed a neurointerventional fellowship and is BC/BE. In this position you will be part of a group where you can continue to grow as both a physician and an individual.Complex stroke and cerebrovascular care is comprised of a full complement of specialists including stroke trained neurologists, neurohospitalists, vascular neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventionalists. Together these specialists treat the comprehensive needs of patients using a collaborative approach.Neurointerventional specialists offer minimally invasive, neurovascular care for stroke of all complexities, as well as treatment for various other conditions, including:Conditions:Aneurysm (intracranial) arteriovenous malformation/fistulaCavernous carotid fistulaCarotid occlusionExtracranial/intracranial vascular diseaseSinus thrombosisStrokeTreatments:Aneurysm coiling and clippingTumor embolizationIntra/extracranial stentingImage-guided microsurgeryVenous stentingCarotid endarterectomyAngioplasty and stentingClot removal using catheters and antibiotics, and anticoagulation drugsIntra-arterial thrombolytic treatmentMechanical thrombectomy
