The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is recruiting for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with Hematology and Oncology disorders based at Fred Hutchison Cancer Center/Evergreen Health in Kirkland, Washington. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level with a Clinician Position at Fred Hutch Cancer Center Cancer (Fred Hutch) Program. This position will hold an annual appointment that aligns with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The position will focus primarily on high volume ambulatory clinical care of patients with solid organ cancers, encompassing a breadth of knowledge across sub-specialties within oncology. There is a secondary focus on inpatient consultations with on-call requirements. Participation in clinical research is encouraged with clinical trials support provided. The position may also involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Division of Hematology and Oncology.The base salary range for this position will be $16,667 to $19,214 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.Anticipated start date would be October 1, 2024.Qualifications
MD (or foreign equivalent) and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or foreign equivalent).Eligible for WA state licensure.In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.Application Instructions
