Job DescriptionDirector of Billerica Service and IDCAJob Summary:
The Director of Billerica Service and IDCA will be directly responsible for more than $20M in direct revenue and indirectly responsible for a critical component necessary to enable more than $100M in revenue. This person will be responsible for leadership of a team of nearly 50 people, revenue attainment and growth, and the quality and reliability of their team’s products and services. They will coordinate extensively with internal Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Programs, and other groups as well as with large government customers throughout the world.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Management of a team of 25 people dedicated to customer service repairs, training, and parts supply sales.
Management of a team of 18 people dedicated to the reliable manufacturing of Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies for critical internal customers.
Tracking, analysis and reporting of critical information throughout the organization including customer satisfaction and detailed financial metrics.
Responsible for the orchestration and performance of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contracts, among other formats for both commercial and government applications.
Leading the team to develop new business models and sources of revenue.
Developing and improving team cultures based on mutual respect to enable efficiency and quality improvements.
Responsibility for all aspects of budgeting including head count, sales projections, inventory, rework, capital equipment and spending as well as forecasting future performance.
Interfacing with Reliability Engineering, Quality, Configuration Management, Training, and Manufacturing in preparation of Logistics Technical Documentation (LTD).
RFP/RFQ proposal evaluation, development, and proposal response including but not limited to Integrated Logistics Support Plans (S&ILSPs), Contractor Logistic Support (CLS), Performance Based Logistics (PBL) plans.
Driving continuous improvement efforts using Lean principles and root cause analysis.
Ensuring a safe workplace including improving safety procedures and culture.
Ensuring successful adherence to ISO9001 standards.
Experience Preference:
Technical background is desirable.
Experience negotiating with US Defense agencies including contracting and proposal activities is highly desirable.
Familiarity with MIL-PRF 49506, MIL-STD 1388 2A / 2B, as well as DoD 5000 requirements.
Understanding of commercial contract/agreements for product support is desirable.
Experience with repairing EO/IR systems or IDCA manufacturing.
Experience successfully managing cross functional teams with little or no direct supervisory authority.
Core Competencies:
Data analysis including SAP, MS Excel and PowerBI tools. Familiarity with the SAP Service module.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Team Management including mentoring supervisors of direct labor employees.
Job Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance if required.
College Diploma in a technical or business discipline.
10 years of experience in the Defense sector.
