The Senior Manufacturing Director | Site Leader is responsible for all safety, quality, operational and security, and people aspects in Billerica, MA. This position leads all phases of catheter manufacturing, capital operations, and technical functions to advance existing technology to produce the highest quality products. This role works with leaders from various businesses and functions within the Cardiac Ablation System platform. This leader embraces innovation, leading transformation, and continuous improvement, to drive business performance through the alignment of people, strategy, and culture.

This position reports to the VP, Manufacturing, for the East Region platform.

The Senior Manufacturing Director | Site Leader is responsible for establishing cost objectives, capacity planning, attainment of production schedules, productivity and efficiency improvements, quality and safety objectives and the development and management of annual budgets and financial performance.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive operations strategies that assure success of the organization and accountability for safety, quality, production, cost, and people.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 direct reports and 15 staff leaders. Oversee total workforce of ~600 people.

Plan and administer budgets, including making budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

Employ lean concepts and techniques, working closely with production leadership and Operational Excellence (OpEx) to allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.

Implement cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and productivity improvement programs to ensure attainment of key performance metrics and sustainable performance improvements.

Participate in company-wide initiatives to determine One Best Way practices and subsequent local implementation to improve business processes.

Represent Medtronic in the community and in professional organizations at a local or regional level.

Must Have: Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10 years of managerial experience.

Nice to Have

Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences.

Medical Device Manufacturing experience.

Breadth of background across numerous roles/functions within Manufacturing and Supply Chain with demonstrated success in each area.

DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification.

Plant manager experience in a medium to large manufacturing facility.

Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing systems.

Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute a strategy.

Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in a matrix organization.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.

Experience in leading large-scale change management.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive plan and an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
