The Senior Director of International Strategy & Insights will be an inspirational team leader responsible for crafting the long-term strategic growth agenda for TCCC’s partnership with a key global customer across international markets. This dynamic and hybrid role spans Research and Insights—leading consumer insights studies as necessary—and Strategy, from identifying opportunities to commercializing insights through powerful and concise storytelling along with leading the Annual Planning Process. This position requires close collaboration and alignment with various business functions (e.g., Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain) along with global- and OU-level System partners (e.g., Global Customer & Commercial Leadership, Global/OU Human Insights, Global/OU S&I).

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned expert (12+ years’ experience) in growth and marketing strategy, with a robust foundation in consumer insights and international experience. Given the importance of understanding customer and stakeholder needs, proposing solutions, and leading project delivery, prior experience in a customer team, client services, consulting, or agency capacity is highly preferred. This role involves providing direct leadership to a high-performing, geographically dispersed team, and working collaboratively with key cross-functional partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Beverage Strategy

Lead the development, articulation and stewardship of a long-term, insights-based Beverage Strategy for priority International markets that identifies and quantifies where to play and why (which occasions, need states, dayparts, consumer targets, etc.) with the right portfolio (defining the role of each beverage and category) and how to win (identifying growth opportunities and how to capture via the consumer experience and marketing initiatives) working in close collaboration with Marketing and other functions.

Partner closely with Strategy counterparts from N. America and Global to define and steward (with TCCC and Customer stakeholders) a Global Beverage Strategy that highlights commonalities across key markets and identifies scalable opportunities and solutions.

Annual Planning

Lead the Annual Business Planning (ABP) process for growth within and across international markets. This entails development/updating of scalable Planning frameworks, tools, insights, etc. to enable associates across 25+ markets to develop insights-based plans in a consistent and simplified manner.

Lead the development of the International ABP through close collaboration with other Functional leaders across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, HR and Business Development. This entails rolling up the 25+ market- and regional- plans to identify the most critical challenges, priorities and initiatives for the business.

Strategic Growth Projects

Identify the need for and guide the S&I team to lead Strategic Projects that drive long-term priorities and growth ambitions across key markets. Example projects include portfolio whitespace opportunities, consumer experience innovation, etc.

Insights

Define and lead the execution of the Insights agenda, clarifying what types of insights (industry, consumer, product, customer, etc.) are needed across major markets to identify/execute against/scale business priorities and where/how insights will be sourced from (e.g. leverage existing System tools/information, leading new/ad-hoc consumer studies either independently or in partnership with other Away-from-home/QSR teams within TCCC).

Develop close partnerships with System Insights partners (both OU and Global) and leverage existing System tools and studies to identify relevant actionable insights for TMD associates while also exporting/sharing insights with System partners as relevant.

Lead the operationalization of the multi-market ‘Away from Home’ (AFH) foundational Insights Study by developing scalable solutions and tools that enable associates to understand the consumer situation and opportunities both within and across markets in an effective and efficient manner.

Guide the team on the design, execution and commercialization of ad-hoc consumer research as needed to inform Strategic Growth projects internationally.

Stewardship

Act as a liaison and steward strategy and insights relationships with relevant Sr. stakeholders of key customer, TCCC OUs, and across the globe, ensuring the integration and alignment of TCCC and customer’s strategic priorities in BPs, leveraging best practice, thinking, resources and capability to drive synergies and results.

Supervisory Responsibilities
