The Program Director for Practicum/Field Education is a key member of the BSW and MSW programs in the School of Social Work (SSW) at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). Along with BSW and MSW leadership, the Program Director, Practicum/Field Education is responsible for providing leadership to the Field Education team, identifying curriculum issues, and participating in the accreditation process. The candidate is expected to have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. This is a full-time position at the main campus of the University of Nevada, Reno; it is not a remote position. Responsibilities
Provide leadership in integrating field curriculum into the BSW and MSW programs Recruitment, selection, and training of community field instructors Placement of BSW and MSW students in field sites Responsible for Agency-School contract negotiations Building strong, positive relationships between SSW and professional social workers and community agencies Developing new field placements Database maintenance Staff supervision Representing the SSW in all matters pertaining to field education Assist with recruitment and admissions of undergraduate and graduate students Serve as faculty liaison/field seminar leader Directly supervises program staff Required Qualifications
A Master's in Social Work - CSWE Accredited and 2-Years post-MSW practice experience State of Nevada License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) within one year of appointment Preferred Experience
Supervisory or leadership experience College teaching experience and/or field program administration Knowledge of online education Travel Requirements
Travel to community-based agencies on a weekly basis Travel to rural Nevada communities as needed Occasional travel to regional areas in which online graduate students are geographically clustered Travel to state and national conferences as appropriate Compensation Grade

and select Administrative Faculty by Grade. Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience. Total Compensation
The total compensation package includes a competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a rich retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, long-term disability, annual and sick leave, along with many other benefits. Additionally, there is a grant-in-aid educational benefit for faculty and dependents. Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees
The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.
