This person will drive the business to achieve revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction objectives. This person will introduce new products and capabilities, work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies, and own all product management responsibilities for a growing portfolio of qPCR products. Responsibilities include identifying, establishing, and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, commercial team members, and industry opinion leaders, as well as driving projects through to completion with internal team members including R&D, operations, and customer service.A day in the lifeDefine product lifecycle, positioning, pricing, go-to-market, and new product strategies based on a deep understanding of market trends, market segmentation, customer needs, technologies, competitor products, and business unit goals.Collect voice of customer information and maintain relationships with key external and internal customers to inform new product introduction and go-to-market strategies.Understand and elucidate internal and external customer requirements then translate those to new product requirements.Work cross-functionally to ensure that revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and growth goals are achieved.Forecast sales and prepare budgets to guide operations planning and build financial models for new product introductions and initiatives.Train commercial teams on our product features and benefits as needed and provide ongoing support for customers.Work effectively with R&D, program management, operations, business development, market development, and other key functional team members across the organization to achieve business goals.Keys to SuccessEducationBachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in a scientific field (molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry preferred).Experience5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or similar role within the life sciences industry.Familiar with life sciences markets, customers, and customer segments, and molecular biology tools.Experienced in defining customer and product requirements, product positioning, pricing, and product lifecycle.Analyzes, synthesizes, and makes decisions based on complex technical, financial, market, and research information.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication and presentation abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Generates outcomes and works effectively in a matrixed management structure.Ability to create and develop a successful, strong team. Strategic. Recognizes opportunities and challenges the status quo. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
