POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is directly responsible for developing and executing the internal operational strategies necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of Montgomery Transportation Group, and its enterprises. The COO will ensure the internal daily planning, implementation, management, and oversight of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision and operational strategy.
Act as visible leader of the operations facilities, insuring harmony between all departments and functions, and promoting the culture of teamwork and achievement.
Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, and establishing performance management.
Oversees, directs, and manages all day-to-day business operations, including policies and procedures, and internal administrative staff of the organization, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
Find solutions to complex problems and implementing them successfully.
Break down complicated issues and communicate effectively to the CEO, Executive Team, and Staff.
Continuously review internal operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
Monitor the organizations performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, in order to meet or exceed goals.
Monitors monthly budgets and financial reporting to ensure revenue targets are met, drive fiscal accountability, and see that expenses are controlled.
Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability.
Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, and partners.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelors degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field is required.
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience directly involved with operations, business, development, finance, or related area.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
