NeuroFit360 Chief Operating Officer (COO) Job Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) works in an outpatient clinic designed to help individuals with neurological injuries continue to improve health, maintain fitness, and prevent unwanted secondary health problems such as skin breakdown, joint contractures, and muscle atrophy. As a key senior executive responsible for providing management, leadership, and vision to ensure the organization achieves its short- and long-term objectives, the COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/owner. The COO is focused on implementing company strategies into daily operations to meet objectives. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. This role demands a blend of strong leadership, creative problem-solving, and extensive industry experience to guide a team of high-performing professionals in achieving efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. The COO is an experienced and efficient leader who maintains control of diverse business operations. They possess excellent people skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics.
COO Responsibilities and Duties:
Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision. Translate strategic goals into actionable plans, overseeing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
Collaborate with the CEO to define and drive the organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs. Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and employee retention. Supervise operations across HR, staff training and development, marketing, accounting, and sales management. Perform annual performance reviews and help determine fee/comp increases for all staff.
Oversee daily operations of the company and the work related to IT, marketing, sales, finance, etc. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.
Assist CEO in fundraising ventures. Participate in expansion activities (investments, license agreements, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.). Coordinate logistical details for student clinical rotations. Oversee the setup of new clinics.
Manage contracts, correspondence, and activities with vendors, realtors, general contractors, and other external parties. Maintain relationships with insurance providers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take necessary actions to address any issues.
COO Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role.
Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving, ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
Skilled in engaging employees at all levels and patients with humility, curiosity, interest, and compassion.
Conflict management and resolution.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Work Environment:
Full-time position. Traveling required to support other NeuroFit360 locations when needed.
