(SCC) and Southern Cross Housing (SCH) capital projects including property development portfolios and refurbishments.This role will cover all aspects of property development including management of design consultants, planning, sales + marketing, tender and construction delivery through to settlement. The role will assist the Chief Property Officer in the execution of the property strategy.The diverse role has wide scope across SCC’s & SCH’s projects which are at different stages of development. A focus of this role will be building and leading the team, building reporting and management processes but primarily oversighting all aspects of each capital project.This position is located in our central office in Rivervale with the option to work from home 1 or 2 days per week.We’ll also be asking you to:Management and delivery of SCC’s portfolio of capital works projects in various stages of planning, from conception to completion.Principal point of contact, responsible for management of external consultants, including architects and design, advisers, planners etc across all major development projects for the group.Regular reporting to the relevant Board Committee against the strategy, milestones and KPIs where required in the absence of the CPO.Engagement of sales and marketing, market research, architectural, engineering and other technical consults during design.Develop and implement supporting governance and RFI processes and day to day liaison with building contractors during construction.Responsible for all aspects of financial monitoring and reporting.Assist with due diligence and feasibilities when reviewing existing and new sites.Responsible for the commercial delivery and monitoring of current and forecast costs in regard to projects being delivered.Responsible for the quality control of each development project, including review and recommendations of progress payments and invoices.Engage and communicate with internal subject matter experts to ensure design meets the needs of consumers and that the built product meets the approved business case.Develop, maintain and manage strong strategic stakeholder relationships including local Councils, State Government, neighbours, broader community, JV partners, Sales agents /Buyer agents, landowners, industry organisations, etc.Detailed competitor and market monitoring, analysis and market research including competition on development site sales, comparable new projects and market benchmarking.Ensure that Capital works projects meet all legislative and regulatory requirements in areas of planning and building.About you:This person would have demonstrated leadership attributes and interpersonal skills that align with our values and can inspire others. Previous experience in a similar role strongly preferred.To be considered for this role, you’ll need:Tertiary or relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Development & Management, Architecture.Experience working alongside multi-disciplinary design consultant teams to achieve project and principal’s objectives.Experience in delivery of built product for aged care, apartments or health care projects desirable but not necessary.Strong knowledge of the property development industry and process, with real standout strengths in technical aspects of construction projects.Working with us:At Southern Cross Care (WA), we are committed to being an employer of choice.
