SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HOPE CORPS

Operation HOPE is dedicated to financial dignity and inclusion. We equip young people and adults with the financial tools and education to secure a better future—coaching them through their personal aspirations and life’s challenges and facilitating their journey to financial independence.

HOPE Corps, Operation HOPE’s volunteer services department, oversees individual volunteers, corporate partnership volunteers, fellows, interns and loaned executives to support the work of Operation HOPE.

Operation HOPE is currently seeking a

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HOPE Corps

(Senior VP) to grow, strengthen and lead a volunteer program that enables the organization to deliver more quality services to more clients across the United States. The Senior VP will collaborate with leadership, HOPE staff, partners, donors and existing volunteers to build the volunteer program and drive success.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

System and Processes

Lead the continued development of HOPE’s volunteer management system (VMS).

Build processes that position HOPE Corps to grow and support all areas of HOPE programs and services.

Collaborate with HOPE leadership and all departments to ensure volunteer processes and the VMS meet the needs of the organization.

Create a seamless and intuitive experience for all volunteers.

Work with cross-departmental teams to integrate VMS with other HOPE systems.

Recruitment

Build and grow HOPE Corps to support all programs, services and initiatives (i.e. 1 Million Black Businesses, youth programs, disaster response services and all HOPE Inside adult programs).

Create national, regional and local partnerships that build HOPE’s volunteer-base.

Create a pipeline for fellows, interns and loaned executives by building relationships with universities, colleges, volunteer service organizations and companies.

Develop and execute an ongoing internal communication plan for all departments, especially Financial Wellbeing Coaches, to be aware of all volunteer engagements that are serving HOPE clients (i.e. volunteer hosted webinars, one-on-one mentorships and guest speakers).

Collaborate with Marketing and Communications department to promote volunteer opportunities and volunteer-led activities on social media channels.

Training, Evaluation and Recognition

Ensure training protocols are in place for all volunteers, fellows, interns and loaned executives.

In collaboration with HOPE’s Learning and Innovation department, build and grow the volunteer training process.

Working across multiple HOPE teams, implement an evaluation and recognition program for volunteers.

Collaborate with the HOPE Research & Impact Institute to monitor, analyze and deliver volunteer activity reports.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to create volunteer success stories.

Partner Relationship Management

In collaboration with the Partnerships and Development departments create and package volunteer opportunities and ensure individuals' and corporate partners’ engagement and satisfaction.

Build relationships with corporate partners so that their volunteer capacity is fully understood and that packages address this.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/QUALITIES

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Communications, Education or Business).

7-10 years of professional experience in a nonprofit working with donors, partnerships and/or volunteers; national non-profit experience preferred.

Experience working within a volunteer management system; experience with Digital Cheetah is preferred.

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

5+ years of supervisory experience.

Self-starter.

Self-driven.

Ability to convert concept and strategy into impact and results.

Public speaking/presentation skills.
