We are a small team focused on high quality work, and inspired by high quality architecture and design. We are seeking an experienced and exceptional Job Site Superintendent to join our crew. This role is a growth opportunity; you will be an integral part of a small group of people who are passionate about craftsmanship, while equally passionate about sustainable work-life balance.Ben Hardy & Company is an SF Bay Area based general contractor. We provide 21st century project management and exceptional craftsmanship. Our approach is client-focused and design-led; we are committed to the details. We believe in honest materials and honest business: a collaborative approach with client and designer, with craft, community, and the environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the construction phase of custom home renovationsEffective design interpretation and layoutDevelop and maintain project schedules and timelines to ensure successful project outcomesManage subcontractors and other project personnel to ensure quality work and adherence to project schedulesEnsure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standardsWork collaboratively with architects, designers and engineers, to identify and address design and construction issuesManage all aspects of the site, including material deliveries, site cleanliness, and site safetyCommunicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and ensure satisfactionEnsure that project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project plans, are complete and accurateQualifications:Respect for architecture and interior designExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required, with additional trade school or apprenticeship training preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in high-end custom residential construction in the San Francisco Bay AreaStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniquesStrong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documentsFamiliarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software such as ProcoreMust possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportationSalary & Benefits:Full Time Starting salary at $120,000-$150,000 per year, commensurate with experienceHealth CareRetirement Plan with employer matching10 Paid Holidays per yearPTOWe recognize that Black, Indigenous and other people of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ individuals are disproportionately excluded from the residential construction industry.
