Director of Laundry
at the
Hilton San Diego Bayfront , you would be responsible for directing laundry and/or uniform staff to ensure a constant supply of clean, quality linens and/or uniforms for the hotel in accordance with hotel, Corporate, and Department of Health standards. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Ensure hotel, corporate, and off-site customers’ administrative requirements meet deadlines through proper production of reports, budgeting, inventory of uniforms, chemicals, dry cleaning supplies, and hotel linens including record keeping of guest laundry and dry cleaning.Select and supervise all laundry and valet staff including training on Hilton standards through Performance and Excellence.Ensure staff training on a business demand and occupancy levels ensures linens are properly distributed to all customers in a timely fashion.Supervision of staff including coaching, counseling, and discipline when work measures are not met; frequently evaluate team members' performance.Organize and conduct departmental meetings and attend other monthly meetings.Ensure equipment is in working order and is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications; inspections to ensure that the Preventative Maintenance Program is effectively implemented.Operate the department with OSHA, EPA, and other governmental requirements and guidelines and correct minor equipment problems.Manage departmental financial processes of forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and inventory control.Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule, and evaluate staff.The annual salary range for this role is $84,000 - $105,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.What are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
