YesJob Description:GDIT has an exciting opportunity in our FEDERAL CIVILIAN Division as a Business Development Director supporting our DOE customers. This position is remote with the ability to travel to customer sites and meetings.As a Business Development Director, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by assisting our team in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities within the Energy and Science Business Area and related markets across our Federal Civilian (FedCiv) Aviation, Aerospace, Atmospherics, and Energy (A3E) Sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the information technology drivers within these agencies and the federal government marketspace, as well as a background in the scientific missions of these agencies (e.g., climate change, energy technologies, and research).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide business development support within the Energy and Science Business Area throughout the new business capture lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development.Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to formulate, communicate, and implement an integrated business development and capture strategy.Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities that support A3E's Energy and Science business area and Division growth goals.Engage with customer agencies, assist in the development and implementation of campaign plans and strategies.Perform business development services including networking and research to increase business.Meet with current and potential clients to understand customer mission needs relative to GDIT/partner capabilities and solutions.Participate in trade shows, associations, and other industry or government-related groups as required.Execute opportunity-specific call plans collaborating with technical staff.Support the development of white papers, proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials.Maintain open and collaborative communications between Capture Teams, Sector Operations Lead, Growth Organization, and CTO.Lead capture for small and subcontracted deals.Participate in strategy, technical, and pricing reviews.Act as the voice of the customer providing customer insight and market intelligence throughout the opportunity life cycle.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:10+ years of related experience developing positive trusted relationships within DOE mission owners and decision makers.Demonstrated experience gaining sustained customer interactions.Broad working knowledge of Federal Government IT needs (e.g., enterprise IT, communications, cloud, cyber).Experience with federal government contracting policies and procedures.Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at Q level or equivalent.Must be an active listener with excellent written and oral communication skills.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsPaid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $176,446 - $235,750.
