Job Description:
GDIT is looking for Business Development Director, Army to join our team. This person will be responsible for identifying and executing capture strategies to grow GDIT’s market share in the U.S. Army market segment, specifically CECOM, PEO C3T and PEO IEW&S and potentially other Army agencies.
You will also be responsible for shaping requirements, managing, and building high revenue accounts, and assisting with programmatic measures to ensure that new and existing customers receive the best technology and professional services that delivers consulting, technology and mission services.
Additionally, you will be tasked with creating and implementing strategies to lead and expand GDIT's customer base within the portfolio.
HOW AN ARMY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR WOULD MAKE AN IMPACT
Develop account strategy to increase customer base and associated revenue in the market segment.
Identify and shape requirements for various Programs related to the U.S. Army mission and associated facilities.
Identifying potential new customers; and programs.
Manage and develop existing Government and integration partners.
Demonstrated ability to leverage various company resources for business development assessments and capture activities.
Collaborating with Capture and Technical SMEs to pursue a unified business development strategy.
Support bid/no bid and business case justification for company resource support.
Build partnerships with other defense contractors and prime integrators related to the U.S. Army market segment.
Creating presentations, white papers, handling initial negotiations, and leading towards a qualified capture.
Identifying industry events that will provide opportunities and shape requirements specific to qualified capture.
Prepare and deliver presentations for large groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Work collaboratively across the team/company to ensure efficient communications us of company resource.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education
: Bachelors degree.
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI clearance required to start
Experience:
At least 10 years of Sales/Business Development experience with government customers related to U.S. Army programs and associated industry OR equivalent experience working with or on behalf of customers while serving in a prior military or U.S. Government capacityl; Ability to network and build strong customer relationships across different aspects of the market segment including both Government and Defense Contractors; Experience in a senior-level role working with customers in the defense industry with ability to support C-Suite level conversations and presentations; Ability to coordinate and utilize various support functions including operations management and strategic growth resources; Knowledge of mission requirements, priorities and systems related to U.S. Army Programs (CECOM, PEO C3T, PEO IEW&S).
Must be able to travel up to 25 to 50% of the time.
US Citizenship required
Strong understanding of requirements shaping and acquisition/procurement process within the U.S. Army with specific focus on Army C5ISR and AFC Network CFT.
Strong written, verbal communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred in business or a related field.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with Capture and Technical teams towards solutioning.
Prior experience interfacing with Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG).
10+ years of Strategy/BD/Capture/Proposal/operational experience within the DoD/Army environment; preferably CECOM, PEO C3T and PEO IEW&S, and secondarily N-CFT with record of revenue growth.
Experience w\ Strategic Planning.
Experience managing a pipeline of business focused on year-over-year Growth
Experience with CRM tools (e.g. TechnoMile/SalesForce), SharePoint, and all Microsoft Office applications

The likely salary range for this position is $195,500 - $264,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
