About the JobThe Generative AI Foundation Model Platform Product team is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join us in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and is willing to become a subject matter expert on Generative AI Models, Artificial Intelligence, and Retrieval Augmented Generation, specifically in areas such as Gen AI libraries and frameworks for training and inference (PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, FSDP, vLLM, etc.). In this role, you will help create, prioritize, and drive product strategy and execution of the Generative AI Platform product(s) from Red Hat. You will primarily work with customers through the Red Hat field teams and engineering for product requirements and implementation. You will also collaborate with other stakeholders like marketing, customer success, and support to drive the success of Red Hat Generative Model Platform. This individual will also create or guide technical blogs, presentations, whitepapers, reference architectures, etc. Experience with or educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science or equivalent disciplines is required. Experience with model training and tuning and inferencing libraries and frameworks is recommended.What You'll DoCollect and document input from users, customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs; develop strategy and roadmap for our offerings.Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive positioning and collect input for new releases.Prioritize, document, and track requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offerings.Create and manage product roadmaps.Guide major enhancements of our offerings by working cross-functionally with core teams across our Engineering team and the upstream open source community.Work with stakeholders to manage releases and updates of our offerings and bring new generative AI solutions to market.Work with our Sales teams to respond to customer inquiries; deliver customer presentations and demos and support the overall sales process.Support sales and marketing activities including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offerings.Review and provide feedback on the documentation for our offerings.Speak and share expertise at user groups, conferences, universities in various locations throughout the U.S. and worldwide.Participate in technical aspects of go-to-market engagements like live streams, roadshows, workshops, webinars, demos of offerings and solutions, industry and partner events, and sales enablement and training.What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science or equivalent disciplines. Master’s preferred.Experience with model training and tuning and inferencing libraries and frameworks.Experience with web application development and CI/CD practices in any language (Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.).Linux skills and work experience.Understanding of and experience with open source projects.Solid written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.Strong skills in deciphering and understanding technical requirements and use cases.Ability to work in a persuasion-driven cross-functional environment with a distributed remote and global workforce.Ability to be self-motivated, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities while working in a highly complex environment.About Red HatRed Hat
