The Business Development associate will evaluate business opportunities to define and optimize the AI software partner (ISV) portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, trends, new technologies, customer issues, technology vendor products and services, and the competitive environment. This person will apply broad knowledge of Red Hat AI product capabilities and service offerings with market position to create and expand the portfolio of complementary partner products and solutions. The role works with the Red Hat AI product team to review gaps in product portfolio and identify complementary vendor/partner products and validate early product definitions with partners. This role is responsible for business development plans designed to address partner needs and/or expand market share.

Job ResponsibilitiesLead the development of AI ecosystem strategies to enhance partnerships and collaborations within the software industryManage a process for collecting input about market opportunities from internal and external sources including conducting market research and analysis.Analyze and share AI industry trends, dynamics, competitive factors, economic factors, buying dynamics, and ecosystem requirements across the global market with Sales leadership.Drive the creation of technical business proposals, presentations, and documentation for prospective partnerships.Build new business relationships with technology vendors in AI market to grow application ecosystem, enhance strategic value, and maximize joint opportunityProvide technical and business insights and expertise during client meetings and negotiations to showcase the Red Hat's unique capabilities and differentiation.Forge trusting partnerships across global, cross-functional teams: engage and align key players and stakeholders, inspire achievement of shared outcomes.Act as a trusted strategy and business advisor to both the product and sales leadership teamsRepresent Red Hat externally (conferences, speaking opportunities, etc.)Define and track objective key results for financial performance, execution excellence, customer and partner satisfaction.Shape a collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture, one that embraces coaching, is inclusive, and has a strong focus on belonging, growth and development of team members.What you will bring

Bachelor's degree; MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus10+ years of partner management in a global, matrixed software organizationProven track record of developing and communicating partner strategy with internal and external stakeholdersStrong business acumen experience with AI and open-source technologiesUnderstanding of how software is used to solve business problems and how cloud technologies are shifting the IT landscapeProven ability to plan and set priorities and identify and resolve problems to produce measurable resultsAbility to understand and articulate to broad audiences of varied experience Red Hat's solution portfolioThe ability to translate concepts, summarize and communicate complex ideas, and articulate business value with an in-depth knowledge of how partners operate and deliver end-user valueEffective networking skills to discover partner opportunities and resources that benefit the partner organization and Red HatStrong architectural understanding of the computing platform market, software development lifecycle, cloud and container technologies. Candidates should have strong knowledge and experience in open source and open source business models.Highly collaborative team playerStrong execution skills with a high attention to detail to ensure operational efficiency and reportingKnowledge of enterprise software and infrastructure technology including but not limited to, Hybrid Cloud, Kubernetes, AI, Edge, etc.Ability to work across multiple teams and multiple geographies within Red HatExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalCreative and curious with a sense of humor and a professional attitude

The salary range for this position is $171,350.00 - $282,610.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
