Job SummaryThe General Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant. The General Manager will play a key role in driving the business forward while fostering a positive work environment.DutiesOversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team.Conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the restaurant.Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth service during peak hours.Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food production meets quality standards and customer expectations.Handle cash management processes, including cash handling procedures and reconciliation.Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.Lead by example in providing excellent customer service in a casual dining environment.SkillsStrong background in restaurant management, with experience in the food industry.Proficient in interviewing techniques to select the best candidates for the team.Knowledge of inventory control processes to manage stock efficiently.Experience in shift management to optimize staffing levels during busy periods.Familiarity with food production standards and practices to ensure quality output.Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.Experience working in a casual dining setting is preferred.Skills in bar management are advantageous for overseeing beverage service.The General Manager position requires a proactive approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
