West Houston Elementary Kids DirectorPurpose of the Job:The purpose of this role is to direct Elementary for Kids Ministry at the West Houston Campus. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations for Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

A love and calling toward ministry to children and familiesExperience supervising multiple projects effectivelyExcellent verbal and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn and use scheduling softwareExtensive experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerpointExceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detailAbility to think and act independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityMust be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsAbility to create, analyze, and maintain project budgets

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Partner with Kids Pastor to execute current and future vision and direction of Hope City Kids at West HoustonPartner with West Houston Leadership for West Houston eventsIdentify, recruit, vet, and develop Kids Dream TeamInvest in Kids Dream Team member’s spiritual maturity, health, and giftingsPartner with Early Childhood Kids Director to complete all Kids areas at the West Houston Campus during LILOResponsible for making sure each room in Elementary is covered for the weekend experienceConnect with Elementary Coordinators weekly to communicate upcoming curriculum, events, updates, and ensure each classroom is ready for the weekendDistribute weekly curriculum and tools for Elementary Coordinators and Dream Team in a timely mannerCoordinate ministry schedules and class assignments for Elementary at West HoustonOversee the distribution of curriculum, forms, brochures, handbooks, and wayouts to volunteers and parents in ElementaryOversee Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team during the Weekend services and Hope City church wide eventsPartner with Kids Pastor and West Houston Campus Leadership to develop and coordinate opportunities to invest in parents and their childrenParticipate in weekly department and one-on-one meetingsWork with the appropriate staff to develop and implement all security measures related to the Elementary departments, including volunteer screening and class/ building safety.Follow policies and procedures for Emergency, Urgent, and/or Mandatory ReportingPartner with Kids Pastor and West Houston Campus Leadership for responding to pastoral needs and care for children and team membersParticipate in West Houston annual budget preparation to ensure adequate funds for operation of ElementaryPartner with Kids Pastor for accurate curriculum purchases, supplies approval, purchase orders, check requests, receipts, and invoicesExecute additional duties as assignedAbility to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays
