What You Can ExpectThe Project Delivery, Project Management Director for ENGIE, providesstrategic leadership for a rolling portfolio of Renewable,Construction/Pre-Construction projects and mitigates potential risk by beingproactive in assessing and addressing potential issues.Everyday in this role you will provide Strategic, Tactical Leadershipanddirection to a staff of Project Managers (PM), Project Engineers, andConstruction Site Managers to ensure project scopes, schedules, andbudgets are managed for success. Develop strategic project objectives andprovide direction for projects from late-stage development throughpre-construction and construction phases. Champion change, effectivelymanage the implementation of new ideas, and communicate relevant informationto senior management. Manage, guide, and mentor assigned staff at alllevels, fostering their development and ensuring effective team leadership.Project Management/Execution: Manage the integration of development andconstruction execution functions for committed projects. Provide tacticalleadership for the preparation and maintenance of detailed project executionstrategies, including contracting strategies, project management executionplans, construction plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure the overallsuccess of project execution by consistently implementing constructionmanagement tools for each assigned projectContractor Management: Participate in the pre-qualification of allcontractors to ensure the best opportunity for project execution success.Ensure that safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, andlegal requirements are achieved or exceeded while accomplishing projectobjectiTechnical Guidance and RFP Process: Understand the implications of variancetechnical options and able to guide engineering designs to achieve the bestoptimal solution for each situation. Support the balance-of-plant process,preparation of turbine installation bid documents, and the Request forProposal process. Assist with the negotiation of construction contracts.Provide input to the pre-engineering and constructability reviews, drivingprocurement of long-lead equipment and assisting the Pre-ConstructionDepartment with the construction contracting strategyLeadership During Construction: Provide leadership during projectconstruction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, cost,environmental, landowner, and other project requirements are met orexceeded. Ensure the execution of work in accordance with contracts andpolicieFinancial Analysis and Compliance: Consolidate and analyze budgets,costs, forecasts, and utilization against established financial goalsCollaboration and Relationship Building : Support, and solicit input fromstaff at all levels of the organization while establishing effective andsupportive relationships with colleagues, and reinforce a team approachthroughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiatives.Develop effective relationships with internal departments, contractors,suppliers, landowners, and other stakeholders. Reinforce a team approachthroughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiativesResource Management: Provide primary support to HR Department in recruitingnew talent and developing PM job descriptions. Is the leader to review PMcandidates, interview, and recommend successful candidates to fill rolesto grow the Delivery Project Management groupWhat You'll BringMinimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, ora related field of equivalent technical training.
