The Senior Vice President, Clinically Integrated Network (SVP, CIN) will oversee the strategy, development and performance of the system Clinically Integrated Network. The Clinically Integrated Network comprises 9 hospitals, 3,200 physicians, 400,000 value-based care (patient) lives with a total medical spend exceeding $2 billion. The position currently oversees 5 direct reports including the System Vice President Medical Management, System Vice President Health Insights (technology), System Vice President Physician Engagement & VBC Performance, System Director CIN Operations, System Program Director of Clinical Product Marketing with over 100 FTEs in the reporting structure.
This position will oversee and advance efforts to achieve the quadruple AIM of high-quality outcomes, total cost of care, patient experience and physician experience. Results of these efforts drive the overall performance of the system’s value-based care (VBC) portfolio. The SVP CIN supports activities related to its accountable care organizations (ACO) which currently include ACO REACH, BCBS PPO ACOs, BPCIA program for orthopedics, partial-risk commercial HMO agreement, and multiple Medicare Advantage arrangements as well as other performance-based payer programs. As additional performance-based opportunities become available, this role will help to critically evaluate organizational readiness for participation and key enablers of performance.
This role works collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment, partnering with key stakeholders across the system, including governance of multiple CIN boards and committees, administrative and clinical leadership, health system employed and affiliated physicians to align all parties around common objectives. Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, CIN governance and decision making, physician engagement and performance, provider communication strategy and implementation, managed care operations, ambulatory clinical documentation integrity, market strategy and growth, provider network management and credentialing, quality and utilization programs including care coordination, system (payer) insurance risk strategy including financial integration, and data platforms and technology.

What you will need:
Master’s degree in business administration, health care administration or related field
Minimum Work Experience
10+ years of strategic health care leadership experience in a health plan or integrated health system
5+ years in a comparable clinically integrated network, risk-bearing entity, or population health organization.
5+ years in hospital and physician practice operations, population health, care continuum, value-based care, or managed care contracting and strategy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Experience in designing and implementing robust, transparent, and relevant data and feedback systems to drive clinical performance across the network.
Experience developing process Improvement plans across multiple constituents including but not limited to providers, office staff, care coordinators, management service vendors, and payers
Hands-on experience navigating a complex environment with health system employed and affiliated physicians so that trust and transparency are cultivated
Track record in adapting to and navigating ambiguity
Subject matter expert in building programs and optimizing performance under shared risk or global risk contracts
Track record of developing and cultivating physician relationships
Board experience as a principal member and/or chair of a comparable organization
Subject matter expert in value based care and risk-based payor contract negotiations
Track record of translating complex contractual concepts in ways that are clinically relevant and meaningful to network participants
Strong understanding of the legal environment around clinical integration as defined by the FTC
Track record of leading and managing change in a matrixed environment
Exceptional tact, collaboration, diplomacy and stakeholder management and ability to build bridges across varied groups.
Effective communication skills including oral, written, and presentation skills with all stakeholders including executive and physician leadership
Ability to influence without authority
Ability to lead others and guide individual performance
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills/experience
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams/be a collaborative team member
