We’ve finally found it and have something that a few customers love and depend on every day. And now we’re looking to grow the team and help bring this to market fully. Role Overview: We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and implement highly reliable, scalable, and performant backend systems that will serve our expanding user base. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment using the latest in backend technologies and practices. Key Responsibilities: • Architect, build, and maintain backend services, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, product, and design, to develop and launch features. • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with strong testing coverage. • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive technical excellence. • Work closely with the DevOps team to optimize infrastructure costs and improve monitoring and alerting (e.g., Datadog experience). • Implement APIs and integrations, ensuring robust data flows across the system. Qualifications: • 5+ years of backend development experience in a professional setting. • Experience shipping production apps using TypeScript and Node.js • Experience with distributed systems and task scheduling systems. • Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, with experience in query optimization and handling complex database interactions. • Familiarity with Inversify for dependency injection, session management, and IoC containers. • Experience with Kubernetes and horizontally scaling applications to ensure high availability. • Familiarity with creating and maintaining APIs, handling authentication, and securing data flows. • Familiar with DevOps and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) to ensure system performance and reliability. • Knowledge of the web3 ecosystem or a strong interest in learning about blockchain technology. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with Remix for backend API development. • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
