Manager, Software Engineering (Front-End)
to lead and grow our engineering team focused on building front-end applications and components built on our Custody Platform, targeted at Fintech and Advisory businesses. This individual will be responsible for driving the technical vision, architecture, and development, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.Duties/ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management:Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluationsFoster a collaborative and high-performance team environmentSet clear goals and help the team prioritize tasksTechnical Vision and Strategy:Develop and implement the technical strategy and roadmap for front-end applications and components that support web-based and mobile experiencesEnsure the system architecture is scalable, efficient, and robustDevelopment and Delivery:Oversee the design, implementation, and deployment of new features and system updatesEnsure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, and OperationsOperational Excellence:Ensure systems meet stringent uptime and performance requirementsImplement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues proactivelyConduct post-mortem analyses for any incidents and implement corrective actionsEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required (or equivalent prior experience)7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management roleProven experience with trading systems, financial services, or a closely related industryExperience with agile development methodologiesExperience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong proficiency and experience working with back-end service integration through GraphQL and REST APIsDeep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong leadership and motivational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to fostering a positive team cultureOur RewardsWe offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision, EAP), competitive PTO, 401k match, parental leave, and HSA contribution match.
