Senior Business Systems Analyst
at Apex Silver, you are responsible for solving problems and answering questions on existing system behavior and system enhancements/fixes. You will also create and maintain system specification documents, test plans, and test artifacts. You should be able to work both independently and with teammates, and enjoy digging into reports, data, and files to analyze and solve problems/answer questions. You provide leadership by ensuring our product(s) and support teams are exceeding expectations for all internal and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to put your mark on a growing Fintech firm.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAnalyze user stories, technical design, and business logicParticipate in story estimations and collaborate on approach ideationParticipate in system implementation projects (e.g., requirements documentation, system configuration, test documentation or execution, issue identification, and resolution)Oversee functional test plans and acceptance criteriaHelp sprint teams work more efficiently when battling large system processes or leveraging our homegrown suitesExecute and analyze core system functional testsPerform analysis and document data mappings for external system integrationsAnalyze, triage, and help answer escalated UAT and production issues and questionsAssist with internal training and release elevationEducation and/or ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree in Information System, Computer Science, engineering or business related fields5+ years of experience as a business systems, product, technical, or data analyst5+ years of software system development experience, with primary focus in cloud technologies (preferably AWS)5+ years of experience working in an agile team; familiar with JIRA and regular sprint cyclesExperience with SQL, Linux, data comparison and analysis, and API documentation toolsFintech/tax accounting background is a plusRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to independently analyze complex data-centric issues and communicate possible root causesAbility to work with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environmentDesire to dig into problems and collaborate with product owners, other analysts, and developers to resolve complex system issuesStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsThis job operates in an office environment.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
