The Warner Chappell Global Strategic Integration and Operations (SI&O) team is a small but mighty team focused on delivering and implementing business objectives. Working closely with our global leaders, we are responsible for driving and embedding our global business strategy. Data is a critical part of everything we do and this role will help unlock insights for leaders around the world.
Your role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Business Intelligence (BI) to lead our Music Publishing BI team and drive data-driven decision-making across the company. As VP of Business Intelligence, you will oversee day-to-day management of the BI team, ensuring high-quality data reporting, and providing actionable insights for our leadership team through clear storytelling. This role is essential to fostering a culture of data literacy, optimizing data infrastructure, and developing tools to support self-serve analytics.

Team Leadership and Development
Oversee the daily operations of the BI team, including resource management, prioritization of work and projects, and skill development.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
Cross-functional Coordination
Partner with cross-functional teams such as Corporate BI, Technology, Income Tracking, Administration, and other relevant departments to align on data initiatives and ensure seamless data integration.
Manage clear communication and transparency across all relevant groups to ensure alignment of expectations.
Business Partnership and Reporting and Insights
Play a pivotal role in executing WCM's global business intelligence strategy, contributing innovative ideas and input to influence the company's direction, through clear data and storytelling.
Deliver bespoke analysis, reports, dashboards and visualizations in line with the needs of each department, supporting needs at all levels of the organization.
Ensure quality assurance across all BI reports, dashboards, and data sources to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Ensure that data is presented in a clear and actionable manner.
Strategic Monitoring and Metrics
Oversee and monitor departmental OKRs for global leads and MDs, ensuring that goals are measurable and align with broader company objectives.
Regularly discuss progress with departmental leads, scope future analytical needs, and identify reporting gaps.
Publishing Data Infrastructure and Analytical Tools
Identify and resolve gaps in analytical and reporting capabilities, providing both interim and long-term solutions.
Lead, create, and review data queries and workflows to deliver that can be shared across the team and directly with departments.
Lead the development of self-serve analytical tools that enable teams to access necessary data without delays, reducing bottlenecks and future-proofing business processes.
Publishing Data Literacy and Continuous Improvement
Contribute ideas for how to innovate, improve and create more efficient ways of delivering data analysis.
Promote data literacy and an understanding of BI across the organization, empowering teams to leverage data in their decision-making processes.
Drive continuous improvement processes to enhance data cleansing and verification, ensuring all data used is reliable and accurate.
Host regular sessions to debrief the business on dashboards now accessible to them.
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; graduate degree is a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
A previous understanding of music publishing data and complexities.
Proven experience in managing and scaling BI teams, with strong team development skills.
Experience in SQL and Python.
Extensive experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
Strong understanding of data infrastructure, database management, and data modeling principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, especially to sr. executives.
Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with technology and corporate strategy teams.
Solid experience in a media, entertainment, or music-related industry is a plus.

Salary Range: $175,000-$200,000/year. Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law.
