Position Focus:Leverage deep experience in information technology to engage executive, faculty, and IT colleagues to plan and deliver new technology initiatives within biomedical and health informatics. Projects will include managing advanced IT systems, software, and data management solutions between the School of Medicine, Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, and Yale New Haven Health System collaborators.
Define meeting agendas, project charters, action plans, and key performance indicators for biomedical and health sciences technology.
Author content for websites, newsletters, briefing documents, presentations, and communication plans.
Advise training and change management efforts with stakeholders for new technology and innovation initiatives.
Transition completed technology projects to operations and maintenance support by other teams across the School of Medicine or Health Sciences IT.
Liaise with stakeholders, information security, and other IT counterparts to design new software solutions that meet research systems objectives and comply with university policies.
Contribute to status reports and communications for the Health Sciences IT portfolio across the health campus.
Essential Duties:
Oversee and manage moderately complex projects; responsible for the planning, defining the scope, formulating the budget, implementation, communication, tracking, and reporting.
Assess and manage issues; responsible for the resolution of all issues; prepare impact analysis statements and manage the change request process.
Ensure projects are delivered on-time, with expected scope and within defined budget.
Participate in the development of effective processes and procedures.
Coordinate, resolve, or assist in resolution of conflicts and other issues within and between project teams and recommend/provide solutions.
May mentor level 2 team members.
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Well-developed knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment.
Well-developed knowledge of IT project management principles (e.g., Agile) and software.
Well-developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proven project management skills.
