Position Focus:A Clinical Research based role. The candidate: Elicits, analyzes, validates, specifies, verifies, manages and tests business process solutions and requirements. Performs business process analytics and facilitates testing design.
Essential Duties:
Develops the initial project charter and clarification of the project scope, requirements, measurable outcomes, and project deliverables.
Works with respective process owners and using the business analytics, prepares the associated business case. Documents the “as is” and “to be” business processes using standard process modeling tools and process improvement methodologies.
Conducts thorough business case and external customer value analysis to determine selection, prioritization positioning and approach for broadest range of potential solutions (e.g., outsourcing, process improvements, and technology solutions).
Communicates compelling and concise analysis to enable business owners to make well informed decisions regarding options for problem resolution and opportunity realization.
Reviews system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested system change is possible within existing system and is within the scope of the current project definition.
Gathers, compiles, and produces relevant business analytics on departmental performances including production of Performance Metrics and opinions/suggestions for improvement opportunities.
Develops and delivers quality analysis, reporting and presentation materials.
Responsible for requirements prioritization and solution risk analysis.
Fully integrates baseline and metrics tracking into initiative planning and execution for optimal results.
Designs, plans, communicates and executes the departmental readiness plan.
Oversees, develops, facilitates and delivers training plans.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related field. Six years of related experience in analysis of business needs and development of related business systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated Experience in Clinical Research Management and Technology Support. Strong aptitude for data systems and technical solutions; willingness to learn new software applications. Ability to perform lookups, parse and combine data, create calculations, format worksheets, work with pivots/charts/graphs; understand PowerBI and data visualization products.
Exceptional reporting and analytical skills, including experience interpreting data sets and effectively and concisely summarizing results for staff including senior leadership. Excellent presentation and organizational skills. Ability to set and meet deadlines and be responsive to planned and ad-hoc requests.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex business data, processes, and reporting. Strong understanding of relational databases and table relationships; ability to build large complex queries combining data from multiple sources.
Highly motivated and achievement oriented. Proactive contributor who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has exceptional communication skills.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:Masters Degree (MBA, MPH, MIS, etc) is preferred with 8 years of experience in clinical research management and technology support. Detailed experience in CTMS, ERP, and EHR systems and other ancillary platforms highly desired. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Access, and tools like OnCore, eReg, SalesForce, EVAL and Epic.
