Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America, Inc. is in search for a Sales Application Engineer for the Itasca, IL location.As part of the Marine Business Unit, the Sales Application Engineer is essential in supporting Marine distributors. The position involves handling customer service, tracking data, researching market trends, providing technical support, and collaborating across departments to ensure smooth sales operations and compliance. This role also includes working closely with internal teams and international colleagues to make a real impact and help expand the company's presence in the marine industry.Distributor and Customer Support
Serve as the first point of contact for distributors, providing timely responses to inquiries and coordinating with internal departments.Address routine inquiries, offer technical support on marine engine applications, and resolve commercial questions.Sales, Market Insights, and Order Processing
Assist in gathering market research, monitoring marine market conditions, and preparing for sales meetings.Support order processing by collaborating across Sales, Parts, Engineering, and Service teams, ensuring timely delivery.Compliance, Documentation, and Reporting
Maintain an organized tracking system for compliance documents, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date and easily accessible.Compile business reports, presentations, and compliance summaries to support management.Participate in weekly meetings with the parent company in a different time zone.Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Marine preferred)2+ years of experience in technical sales or application engineeringStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-disciplineExcellent communication skills, written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft OfficeBasic knowledge of sales processes and market researchMust work in person at the office dailyAbility to travel up to 40% of the timeMust be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Must be able to occasionally move and or lift up to 35 pounds.Ability to stand throughout the workdayUnderstanding of marine engine applicationsExcellent benefits:
