Senior Engineer - (GO, Python, FullStack/React) - REMOTE

The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.Position ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Engineer, you will:Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systemsBuild product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solutionEngage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleLead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationDefine, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveUtilize programming languages like Python, C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and servicesMentor other engineersConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsQualificationsProficiency in Go programming language and knowledge of at least one other modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#Experience of at least one JavaScript technology such as React or AngularProven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsExperience architecting and designing new and current systemsAdvanced understanding of DevOps concepts including Azure DevOps framework and toolsExperience in Open-Source tools like GIT and knowledge in Terraform/Ansible is a plusExperience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK)Understanding of operating PostgreSQL in a Kubernetes containerized environmentUnderstanding of service integrations / communication standards (e.g., GRPC / REST)Experience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as CodeKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, test automation and related tools, operations, real-time communication)Knowledge of OpenStack/Kubernetes, containers, and best practices in a K8s environmentExperience in Observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana/Open Telemetry/Loki is a plusAbility to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentGood communication skillsExperience4+ years of professional software development experience3+ years of experience with architecture and design3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service2+ years of experience in open-source frameworksEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
