We are on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic faculty member to lead our Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine. As the Division Chief, you will play an important role in shaping the future of healthcare and research. The position is open at Open Rank level, offering you the flexibility to excel in your career trajectory. The Division Chief will report to the Chair of Internal Medicine; salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Your expertise and contributions will be expected to advance the UNM HSC Strategic goals and planning.Institution Information:

The UNM Health Sciences Center, Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Preventive Medicine (EBPM) is in the Department of Internal Medicine. The Division consists of some 20 faculty and 15 staff scientists, and post-doctoral fellows. The Preventive Medicine Residence Program is part of the Division, and currently includes 3 full-time faculty and 4 residents. The EBPM faculty members actively conduct independent research serving as PIs or Co-PIs. The Division faculty collaborate closely with many UNM Departments and Centers including the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Clinical and Translational Science Center, the three NIH-Funded Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence, Project ECHO, and the Southwest NIDA Clinical Trials Node, among many others. The Division has over $5M in research funding. Further information on the Division is available at the UNM website.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:A Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a closely related field; or M.D. with post-graduate training in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.A strong record of peer-reviewed research publications in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, biomedical and health research.Established record of extramural funding.Eligibility to work in the US.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated administrative leadership experience, including program administration, financial management, and personnel management.Significant record of independent scholarly achievement including successful extramural funding and impactful publications.Substantive experience mentoring early- and mid-career researchers, clinician-researchers, and graduate/medical students.A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.Application Instructions:
