As a Data Scientist, you will support robust and repeatable data manipulation, large scale infrastructure for data ingestion, modeling, and stunning data visualization for custom client applications.Summary of PositionWe are looking for a talented and motivated data scientist experienced in working directly with clients, managers, and technical staff to understand business needs, develop technical plans, and deliver data-driven analytical solutions that solve client problems. This role will assist the client in integrating data analytics into their daily operations. You will create and deploy predictive models from a variety of data sources and types using the latest mathematical and statistical methods. You will also have the freedom to grow a team to support the client's data analytics needs.Job Specifications/RequirementsTS/SCI with a CI-PolygraphAbility to work on-site for 36-40 hours during a typical weekAbility to work independently and desire to learnAdvanced Degree in a technical field (M.S. or PhD) and 3-6 years of related work experience, OR B.S. in a technical field with 4-7 years of work experience (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu or in combination with education requirements)Proficient with one or more of the following programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R)Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world problems.Knowledge and experience in data wrangling, advanced statistical data analysis, and modelingCapable of communicating complex models and concepts in non-technical languageExperience working with some of the following technologies: AWS, Azure, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, HBase, Cassandra, Accumulo, Neo4j, etc.), Caffe/TensorFlow/Keras/etc., Hadoop, SparkProficiency with SQLDesired SkillsFamiliarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)Proficiency with unsupervised, semi-supervised, and supervised learning algorithms and technologiesExperience building models that will be deployed to real-time environmentsSecurity+ certification preferredAbout Elder Research, IncElder Research is a fast-growing consulting firm specializing in predictive analytics.
