Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of our Hampton Inn in Taos, NM. The General Manager oversees and directs all aspects of hotel operations including, but not limited to, guest service, housekeeping, property maintenance, asset protection, sales, food and beverage, accounting/budgeting and human resources. The General Manager creates and maintains guest-driven operations with a vision that inspires hotel associates to do their best to accomplish company goals. The General Manager oversees the quality process to ensure guest satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service while simultaneously controlling costs and expenses to achieve the hotel’s financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Manage the budget and financial performance of the company, including setting goals and monitoring results.
Develop and implement strategies for growth and success, including identifying new opportunities and improving existing processes.
Lead and motivate a team of employees, including setting performance expectations, providing training and development, and managing employee relations.
Oversee the operations of the business, including ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and that all necessary resources are available.
Ensure brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis and maintain a high personal visibility throughout the property.
Monitor market trends and adapt to changing business needs.
Responsible for all Associate Experience, including setting expectations, hiring, performance management, onboarding, communications and support.
Responsible for Guest Experience, including safety & security, professionalism, property standards, community relations, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel management role.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong financial management skills.
Key Performance Indicators:
Hotel Financial Performance: Consistently meeting and/or exceeding budgeted Top-Line Revenue, RevPAR, and GOP.
Brand Compliance/Performance: Passing all Brand QA (Quality Assessments) and compliance audits.
Guest Satisfaction: Consistently meeting and/or exceeding guest satisfaction score goals.
