Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems.Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards.Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.Partner with Product on implementation strategy.Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards.Find opportunities to create, automate and scale repeatable analyses or build self-service tools for business users.Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.Basic Qualifications:Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Engineer-related occupation.Experience must include:PythonJavaContinuous Integration and Continuous DeliveryUtilizing: GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, and/or Mock frameworksDeveloping large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low latency, and strong data consistency computing.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Travel Requirements:
